Great service from reputable mechanics not some high school kid trying to figure things out and for reasonable prices. Quiet and comfortable waiting area, to top that off they even sent me pictures of everything checked on my car. As long as they have Jim I will never go anywhere else job small or big. Great team mentality across the board!

1989 was the year my husband John and I started taking our vehicles to Advanced Auto Tech! We have been so pleased with their efficient and HONEST service over the years, that we have recommended numerous family and friends to them. We have since relocated to Florida but continue to take our cars over to them for service every time we drive up to VA. We recommend them highly. Ben is the BEST!!!

*Someone mentioning something wrong with my car* Me: Yeah, I know - I'm getting it fixed. I gotta guy. *Advanced Auto Tech enters stage right* - plot twist - *Advanced Auto Tech is my "gotta guy"* Yes - when I'm not writing the next Steven Spielberg blockbuster weekend box office hit (sample above), I'm driving around in my chariot also known as an Acura ILX (don't be jealous... also, let me merge in front of you, I've had my blinker on for 5 minutes). What started as a desperate need for an inspection on a lowered vehicle a year ago has turned into a love affair fueled by, well, fuel. Located in a tiny corner of Lorton, Virginia nestled among other car repair shops, sits a few bays reserved for the glory that comes from the torque wrenches and 10mm sockets of the techs at Advanced. They offer Virginia state and safety inspections, oil changes, brake fluid changes, transmission fluid changes (of which I witnessed first hand yesterday), tire rotations and alignments, and (among about 5 dozen unlisted services), tire installations. Melissa (the Advanced angel who's voice gently graces your ear when you call in your appointment) responded in less than 30 minutes from my Facebook message (kids these days) with a quote and an offer to see if they could find a better price on the tires I had my eye on. Love that. They then offered to be the shipping destination for my new rubber babies and installed them THE NEXT DAY. Throw in a transmission fluid change and safety inspection and my Acura is feelin' extra transmissiony. They're not stuck in the dark ages like most repair shops either. Half way through your cars mechanical doctors appointment, you get a text with a list of things that are cause for concern (to both your car and your wallet), things to consider, and things that are A-okay - it even comes with pics. No pressure sales when they mention their recommendations, either. I hate upsells - I literally will walk on the other level of Springfield Mall to avoid the moisturizer mall kiosk. But none of that nonsense at Advanced! Just a "Hey - this is an issue, you can get it fixed now or die in a bloody fireball on the way home. Your choice." (totally kidding - my Spielberg tends to slip out sometimes). Ok - enough with my book. I like these guys. I like dealing with them. I hate paying for car repairs. I feel less bad when I do it here.

Ben is a serious customer focus owner. He took a look at my 2006 Tacoma. It has a radical aftermarket long travel suspension system. It's heavy duty with extended front axel shafts. They did the lookover for free and they spent a time and effort contacting the afternarket fabricator for insight. Ben and his teem are not custom afternarket specialists, so if you are looking for them to apply their skills in that kind of application, its not a good fit. They could only recommend ditching the Total Cahos fabricstion long travel suspension. Cost me over 5k to buy and replace that with standard Tayota A arms, ball joints, axel shafts, tie rods,, shock absorbers & coil springs. Unknown cost plus labor to do all this. A simple "it's beyond our scope of service" would have done us both a favor. Adjusting Camber is not rocket science on a Tacoma. I did get that done elsewhere. A wheel bearing was also replaced. YouTube has video of the basics of this process. If I take my stock Prius or Honda CR-V for allignment, their shop would be my first contact. They have the special equipment, skills and a caring owner you can trust.

Can you say great service? Because that's exactly what you will get here. My car was vibrating when I hit 60mph and I had a trip coming up and needed it fixed within a day. On a recommendation from my sister, I drove out from Ashburn to Advanced and told them to check it over and tell me the problem. They told me my tires had cupping and even sent me photos so I could see for myself. I told them if they could get me on the road by 4:30 to go ahead and order. They were awesome. In and out and my trip was smooth sailing. Never felt sold to and loved that they gave me a complete list of things that needed my attention in the future. They also could have taken me for a break fluid change but ended up telling me I didn't need it. Love the honesty!!
